As far as I can tell in my research, the Beatles never totally canceled a performance. But on a few rare occasions (2 that I know of for sure) they did not play at the scheduled time and played the concert on a different date. The first time is pictured here November 12, 1963 in Porthsmouth. Paul apparently got a stomach bug and was unable to perform and so the show was canceled for the night. How disappointing for the fans that showed up to see that sign! The bottom photo is John who according to the caption is trying to hide a sick Paul.
