Not the best photos in the world, but on April 21, 2005 Paul and Robin Williams both participated in Paul Newman's "Hole in the Wall camp" fundraiser. |
Hello my fellow Beatlemaniacs! What a crazy, crazy few days. As most of you who read this blog know, I live north of St. Louis, Missouri and as you might have seen on the news, there are riots and looting going on just a few miles away from me. I do not understand how violence is ever the answer. I do understand anger but I just do not understand how anyone can think that violence is answer to the anger. My heart breaks for the family and friends of Michael Brown, but I have to say that it is frightening to see places where you know you have shopped and visited being burnt and busted into. Regardless of what the media says, I have shopped in the Ferguson, MO area frequently and I have found those that live there to be extremely helpful and kind. Just last year at this time I needed to go to the Walmart in that town for some back to school shopping and the people there couldn't have been more helpful during a very chaotic and crowded sale. On top of that, to learn of the death of Robin Williams has just made my head spin. You may not completely realize that Robin was a close friend of Harry Nilsson's in the late 1970's and early 1980's. He hung out with Harry and thus with Ringo and partied. Robin was a huge fan of the Beatles and spoke about his love for them in several interviews.
If any of you that read this blog is going through a difficult time, please know that life does and will get better. The issues that you face right now will not last forever, even though at this moment they may feel as if they do. There are people who care about you and taking your own life is not the answer. Help is available. We do not to lose any more Beatle fans to suicide. Us Beatle fans need to stick together and love one another. If you need help: (I looked up for the most popular countries that visit this blog---if your country is not listed, please look at this list for your country.)
